Geographic Information Systems

Course Content

This course is an introduction to Geographic Information Science, focusing on how to work with common GIS data such as vectors and rasters, as well as map making, basic spatial analysis, and descriptive statistics using ArcGIS Pro. Each week, during the lab sessions, we will work through case studies based on real-world data, such as the Canadian Census, and learn how to apply the methods learned in the course using GIS software.
