Some of my teaching records are listed below. I have experience in conducting computer lab sessions, providing hands-on student support, and grading assignments and tests in Human Geography, Quantitative Geography, and Geographic Information Science at the undergraduate level.

  • Teaching Assistant for Dr. Antonio Paez
  • Course description: This course teaches advanced spatial data analysis and statistics, including descriptive and inferential spatial statistics, primarily for third- and fourth-year undergraduate students. It focuses on geocomputation using R, covering topics such as mapping, point patterns, area data, and spatially continuous data analysis.
  • Duties:
    • Conducted weekly lab sessions for two groups of approximately 24 students each
    • Graded assignments, midterm and final reflections

ENVSOCTY 2GI3 Geographic Information Systems

Fall 2024

  • Teaching Assistant for Dr. Darren Scott
  • Course Description: This course is an introduction to Geographic Information Science for mostly first and second-year undergraduate students, focusing on how to work with common GIS data such as vectors and rasters, map making, basic spatial analysis, and descriptive statistics using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Duties:
    • Conducted weekly lab sessions for two groups of approximately 25 students each
    • Invigilated examinations and graded assignments and tests

GGRA30H3 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Empirical Reasoning

Summer 2023

  • Teaching Assistant for Dr. Shaila Jamal
  • Course Description: This is an introductory course for quantitative methods and Geographic Information Science for mostly first and second-year undergraduate students. It covers data manipulation and descriptive statistics using Excel, basic mapping and SQL queries and digitization in QGIS, and web mapping using ArcGIS Online.
  • Duties:
    • Conducted weekly lab sessions for around 30 students
    • Held weekly office hours to provide additional support
